In scope of the third Inside event, participants visited the newest congress hotels in Belgrade, Serbia. The strategic geographical position of Belgrade, its economic potentials, infrastructure, labour force, the quality of life and potentials for further development are the reasons that Belgrade has been awarded the title of “City of the Future”. As the fastest growing congress destination of Europe, Belgrade is the right place in which to convene.
On 29 August, the third Inside took participant on a study tour stopping at new or renewed congress hotels in Belgrade. The tour, led by Mladjan Miškeljin, the new Director of Serbia Convention Bureau, was an eye-opening experience.
The first stop was Hotel Metropol Palace. Stunning five-star Belgrade hotel, the Metropol has always been the heart of Belgrade’s social life and the host to all its most esteemed guests. Hotel Zira Beograd impressed the participants with its funky style and its own shopping mall. This business hotel offers its guests 127 superior and deluxe rooms and three equipped conference rooms. Great hotel for small to medium events.
An unforgettable experience was the site inspection of Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel that is opening its doors this October. Although the hotel is still under construction, one can already see all the details of a carefully designed mix of old and new materials that will definitely make a stay in this hotel very special. Beside Belgrade hotels, participants also got to see hotel Park in Novi Sad. In Novi Sad this hotel represent best value for money. The hotel has nine individual conference rooms and a Press Centre.
All in all the participants were extremely impressed by the variety of meetings offer presented and the professionalism of the staff. It is now clear why Serbia is the fastest growing congress destination of Europe.
