Inside event held from 29 to 30 August in Belgrade and Novi Sad, Serbia, connected the region of SEE by showing the best practice examples of successful regional events. Participants coming from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and the Netherlands were pleasantly surprised by the impressive meetings offer of Belgrade hotels, the educational conference programme and great Serbian hospitality.
Next to a great conference programme where speakers like Milos Milovanovic (Gaining Edge), Miha Kovačič (Slovenia Convention Bureau), Slaven Reljić (CMPA), Mladjan Miskeljin (SCB), prof. dr Vera Artiko (Balkan Congress of Nuclear Medicine), prof. dr Svetlana Balesevic Tubic (Semenarski dani regiona), Gorazd Čad (Conventa case), prof. dr Nebojsa Lalic and Dušanka Bolčina (ADIT Conference), connected the region, the third Inside also took participant on a study tour stopping at new congress hotels in Belgrade and Novi Sad (Hotel Metropol Palace, Hotel Zira Beograd,Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Falkensteiner Hotel Belgrade and Hotel Park).
Mladjan Miskeljin, newly appointed director of Serbia Convention Bureau and organizer of Inside about the event: “After the previous two conferences in Belgrade and Rovinj, this now traditional regional event has focused on concrete cooperation in meetings industry and opportunities for cooperation and further development under the existing conditions and circumstances.
Competent speakers presented examples of good cooperation and events and showed us a great potential for further development in the field. Cooperation at this level is not only possible but is already happening without our interference.
The meeting gave us the task to find a model of cooperation based on shared knowledge and information in order to create an atmosphere that will allow further joint progress with the creation of as many similar events.
The key message of the meeting was the need to grasp the bigger picture and that instead of short-term and economic benefits, our industry has to think about this meetings as an asset to develop society and to strengthen the competitiveness and attractiveness of the entire region in the international market in all fields.”
